FAQ

Below are some commonly asked questions with regard to physical therapy in general and questions specific to our clinic.  If you should have any other questions, please give us a call.

  • Is physical therapy painful?
The majority of patients leave our clinic suprised with how much better they feel. That doesn't mean that there isn't some discomfort while working towards feeling better. In our experience we have found that pain isn't necessary, and actually can be detremintal, to achieve positive results.
  • Do I need a referral to come to physical therapy?
The State of Oregon does not require a referral to see a physical therapist. However, each insurance has it's own regulations about the requirements on physical therapy referrals. Most insurances do allow you to see a physical therapist without a referral but you should check your insurance plan or give us a call.
  • How much does physical therapy cost?
Most health insurance plans offer benefits that includes physical therapy. The exact cost to you depends entirely on your specific insurance plan. Deductibles may apply which will increase your out-of-pocket cost for physical therapy. Typically there is a co-pay for each session, which again is entirely determined by your insurance plan and not by us here at the clinic. If we happen to be out-of-network with your plan please give us a call and we will be happy to work with you on alternative ways of receiving treatment. We do offer cash-based treatments where you pay a flat fee for each session and insurance is not used.
  • Will I work with the same therapist each time?
Yes! All of our sessions are one-on-one between you and the same therapist. We believe each movement matters and passing your care off to someone else who might not know your progress is not acceptable to us. We are independently owned and operated and don't have to meet certain numbers as some of the hospital and physician owned clinics require of their therapists, so you will recieve one-on-one care each visit.
